You

YOU
Camille Nicole

It’s been a while since I saw your smile,
That perky face of yours reminds me how to try,
To live life with grace and thrive with faith,
To not lose hope, stand-up, be brave.

Whenever I recall the words you said,
Fused tears of bliss and grief are dwindling,
Knowing that you’re near but far,
Thinking how our love is certain, will it last?

I will never forget how your soul waved my heart,
How it swayed the standpoint of my eyes,
You made me see all beyond the starts,
You made feel how lucky the first love I’ve ever found.

I will be ever thankful to God,
For He let someone like you cross my path,
Maybe today is not our time,
But I can wait a thousand years for you to be mine.

“I miss you” is the right word to tell
When unfolding my thoughts of you,
They say I am insane,
I want to see you —
But it’s not the right thing to make,
I’ll just kneel and pray,
And say, “Please God, let fate converge our way.”

Triumph for you is my plea,
Do your best to all it can be,
And when you see all things are shining,
Please, don’t forget that there is “me.”

Years are just time,
Distant distance is just gap,
If trust from our hearts sways,
And belief in God remains,
When we do what is right today,
Maybe someday our love will prevail.

And if there’s a twist of fate—
When your love for me fades,
So when you happen to find a new care,
I will never regret how happy I am,
To know someone like you,
Who once eased all my pain and placed a thousand smiles on my face.

I adore you, and that’s all that counts—
As this couplet bids its goodbye,
I want you to know how blessed I am,
To recognize the person I want to be with one day—
Forever your name is engraved
In my heart will never be erased.
